Hi friends

I am nowhere near an expert on Twitter/X growth and strategies. But if you observe a few things closely, you’ll see patterns of successful accounts.

The biggest three (in my mind) are no-brainers, hardly surprising, and yet little-talked about.

Let’s talk!

It’s going to be quick!

  1. Using visuals. Images, GIFs, and videos. Large creators getting millions of impressions on each post use one of these content formats. Images with funny captions, GIFs, or videos. Now, the important thing is to make these visuals stand out. You can’t just pick the first GIF from GIF search, or a basic Unsplash image. What’s trending is images side-by-sides with funny captions, compilations that mean something, or charts and drawn pics with a message.

  2. Asking questions. Asking questions is a great way to start a conversation, but it also seems to be the non-plus-utra growth tactic on X. To be honest, I don’t know why. Might be just a temporary trend. But it’s working right now.

  3. Using humor. Duh… Humor is a great way to make your tweets more memorable. And memory is a highly undervalued aspect of content creation. There are a billion and one people out there creating almost identical content (not always on purpose). To stand out, you need to be memorable. Humor is a good way to go.

Believe it or not, that’s it.

What’s your verdict on these 3?
